I'm usually the type of guy who hates paying to dine out, but these guys regularly have things I know I can't easily recreate in my kitchen. They also sell wine, often with advertised discounts. Not my things, but if that's your thing, you'll probably love this place. Update: I have photos of the most latest, wonderful special. Best food in the area, and as a google guide, this this where I bring my family when then visit.
Really loving the updated space! This spot has been a favorite of mine for a few incarnations now, and they've really made some much-needed improvements. I've only stopped in for brunch so far and loved it. All of the ingredients were delicious and fresh, and very reasonably priced considering you can choose a brunch cocktail to go with your meal. I look forward to going back and having dinner!
Definitely recommend the Post. We had a great dinner and experience at this place. It’s small but very cute with back patio seating that’s decorated tastefully. More important; amazing food, the best that I’ve had in Albany. We tried the hummus and the strawberry appetizers which were very nice, followed by hamburger and smoked salmon salad. They were all delicious and with high quality ingredients that I really appreciate.
One of the best meals I have ever had! I got the barbecue plate, which was classic southern cooking via the South of France. The skin on the chicken was somehow both perfectly crisp and sticky. Every side was a simple and fresh foil for the juicy bird. My boyfriend got the fried catfish nuggets, which were just as crispy on the outside, meltingly tender on the inside as the catfish I ate as a child in Arksansas. And I won 't even spoil the strawberries and ricotta for you just get it and be pleasantly surprised. The chef was also lovely and told me he has 'the best line cooks in Albany ' when I complimented his cooking. Based on the meal I just had, I 'd say they 're the best line cooks in the state!
I've been coming to Post since it opened and am so happy it survived the pandemic. I don't review much but had to post (lol) about the burger. The TED burger is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I've been searching for anything wrong with it and I cannot find anything. It's delicious, filling but not too heavy. I can't recommend it enough. The beer list is also great but definitely try some wine. Cozy indoor seating and a great back patio.
