My friend and I like to try different cultures food and we wanted to try Filipino food. I ordered the Grand Silog four meat combo plate to try a little bit of everything. I got Crispy Chicken Wing, Crispy Pork Belly, Sweet Sausage and Tapsilog beef. My favorite was the sweet sausage, but everything tasted really good. The combo comes with garlic rice and two fried eggs on top. Only negative was the fried eggs were over cooked, so no runny yoke for the rice. The rice needed it badly here. I have seen in other pictures the eggs are cooked sunny side up. This should be standard each and every time. The service was good. If you want some stick to your ribs comfort food, definitely give Filipino a try.
Came in for lunch and ordered the Pancit Guisado Rice Plate w/ Lechon Kawali (crispy pork belly) and a couple of other dishes. The pork belly was super dry and the portion was so small! It came with 5 little pieces of pork belly. Both the fried chicken and pork belly were plain except for the taste of oil. The garlic rice was bland and it seemed like it was either mixed with white rice or not mixed thoroughly. Either way the rice did not taste like garlic rice. The pancit was too salty for my liking. Which was a surprise because everything else was so plain. The pork belly dish cost about $20, so not worth it for about 5 pieces of dry pork. We were also charged for the cost of living allowance.. Probably wouldn't come back nor recommend this place to anyone.
Hi everyone, I would not recommend this place for anyone. The garlic rice had no flavor whatsoever. The pork belly was dry and had no flavor at all. I felt like I was eating hard fried pork belly. The Noodle was overly salted. I am not coming back here again and would not recommend this to anyone. Go spend your $20 elsewhere for a better lunch/dinner.
I would rate this place closer to a 3.5. The restaurant was decorated with lots of sports memorabilia and medals. We came in on a Saturday around lunch and it wasn't too crowded! Service was prompt. The food was just okay. My boyfriend and I expected the sisig to be crispier but he thought the flavor was solid. Just wasn't the type of sisig we were used to. I liked how the fried tilapia came with some veggies. Mixing it with the fried fish added to the dish. Prices were higher than what I'm used as well. We would come back again but maybe try some different dishes.
