We tried this Chinese restaurant again and enjoyed the king prawn omelette. tonight we ordered fried scallops and vegetables with our honey chicken family, fried rice and fried scallops. also our favorite king prawn omelette. King prawn as usual big huh okay but the one. fried rice was just terrible!. tasted like boiled musk and also had a strange after taste. the scallops were tiny, sweet were plentiful, but bland with a slim thick sauce disappointment unfortunately we will not order the special fried rice or scallops. a lot of luck next time
My husband and I have dined at this restaurant multiple times over the past few years, and we can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal. The owners, Steve and Peng, are always very accommodating and we are never disappointed. The vegetables are always fresh and the seafood and meat are consistently of good quality. Our favorite dishes are the prawn toast and steamed dim sims, as well as the salt and pepper squid, lamb with chili and black bean, and the combination hot pot. They also offer a variety of delicious noodle dishes. Although takeaway reviews are not displayed, I believe it is unfair as the food may not have been as fresh when eaten outside of the restaurant. I recommend enjoying a meal at this cozy restaurant with a bottle of wine for a very affordable night out.
The food at this restaurant was excellent, despite the power going out and having to cook by torchlight. The staff did a great job under very difficult circumstances. I would recommend this place to everyone.
We have been visiting this restaurant, weekly, for the last years I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. It is very disappointing that Denleu gave it a bad rating in January this year. He regards himself as a top...contributer? maybe he should look at my contributions which are twice his I am in the top contributers in Brisbane, so I do know good from bad, he obviously does not, or is being vindictive. Enough negativity. The restaurant is small BYO a family business run by Peng Steve. The menu is varied enough, but they will have other dishes, off the menu, if you have a favourite, ask. I often order steak with beansprout chinese mushrooms, delicious. Try the Singapore Noodles, the best I have had anywhere in the world, including Hong Kong where the dish originated. Try the hot sour soup or the combination long short soup, you can always tell a top chinese restaurant by its chicken stock theirs is Recently we had, off menu, the salt pepper lamb with combination holkin noodles (thats only usually takeaway) so good. Steve excells with his sauces, so next time you visit try and convince him to re introduce his soft shell crab. Tell him Terry asked for it!
