I was able to breastfeed and the staff made sure I was comfortable and still served. We had 6 family members around the table and not one meal was disappointing. Live music and a wonderful Sunday night atmosphere. We will be back!
Great old pub. Fantastic service. Reasonable menu. Chef needs to taste food now and then as I found the pumpkin soup and pork ribs quite tasteless.
Such a great old pub. Done up beautifully from the beer garden to a table by the fire. The menu was broad I can highly recommend the beef & guiness pie (we went back twice & I ordered both times!) great service & good value for money.
A friend and I went to the Earl of Spencer chasing our Sunday Parmi.. Going in excited for a good feed based on other visits to this establishment. The restaurant wasn't very busy only a few people at the bar and a couple of tables. We asked for a table of two and we're sat right in the corner next to a loud large table! We were asked what we wanted ordered waited quite a while for the waitress to come back and say the chef had forgotten about our food and burnt it... To then wait another 30 minutes for our food to arrive! Oily and very small serving (also chicken was ridiculously dry) Then we asked for sauce which never arrived at our table. safe to say terrible experience and won't be coming back. Last but not least when waitress took my glass which still had drink in it.. Put her hand right in it to lift it up the said "oh are you finished with it"
Disappointing meal. Both dishes ordered were from freezer to deep fry and only just edible. Won't be returning
