Harmanco's - Albemarle

Friendly down home people excellent food and drink.

Awesome lunch. My grandfather has recently been in and out of hospital and loves seafood. We arrived in Albemarle at lunchtime to visit Blue Bay but it was unfortunately closed (Saturday they aren't open for lunch) so we decided to try this place, Harmancos. We were all very pleased with our meals and appetizers. The blooming onion and the hamburger steak was great. The green beans tasted like they were made with love (and bacon fat lol). Our server was a young man I can't remember his name but he was A1, our drinks were always topped off and he was very kind, accommodating, and attentive. Best service I've had in a long time at any restaurant. We were one of the only tables in there but I still was astonished at the great service. Two different people (I'm assuming owner and manager) came out to check on us on two separate occasions, you can tell they are passionate about their business and it shows. I will definitely be back next time we're in town. Only complaint is they were out of mashed potatoes but as we were finishing our meal I heard the kitchen staff saying the mashed potatoes were ready so that just means they make it fresh from scratch (maybe daily) which is awesome.

One of Albemarle NC best kept secret is Harmanco’s! Been coming for years and it’s absolutely the fastest, friendliest service in Stanly county! From the moment you walk in the smiles and greetings make you feel like your home! A lot of places in today’s times will ignore you as you enter, service is rude and the food will be just plain boring! Not This little Gem! You’re like family! Let’s talk about food! This place has one of the best blooming onions and one of the best Ribeye steaks you will ever try in your life! Now let me get to this amazing delicious Ribeye! I’ve ate at various steak houses in other states from the beaches to the mountains and every where In between and never have I found a more perfect cooked steak! Every visit it is on point, cooked perfectly, mouth watering, tender, juicy and that little seared crust bursting full of flavor captivates your every tastebud! The cooks are trained very well! Don’t let me forget the lemon pepper wings, that crisp, fried to perfection wing is by far award winning! Nothing I’ve tried I haven’t loved! As I write this I almost want to delete it cause I don’t want this Gem to get crowded for me but I must not be greedy and share with everyone just how awesome this place is! Everyone should get to satisfy their hunger with such an amazing delicious and friendly place as Harmanco’s! There’s times it can get busy but the staff always check in and keeps your drinks full while waiting! The food is worth any wait! Also one end has a bar area with a great selection of spirits and a great karaoke set up when they have it! Check Facebook for the times ! Always tip the staff great here because they absolutely deserve it! Management/owner checks in after meals to ensure you’re happy! For this, Harmanco’s wins Stanly County’s best hidden Gem restaurant in my book!

The food was amazing but what stood out was the love and family feel, the sweetest lady ever offered to help and my child is not fond of strangers but she was able to keep her calm and make her smile so that we could eat. Sara from Harmanco's you are a literal angel you have no idea what you did for us tonight I was at my wits end and you swooped in not knowing us from Adam and made our sweet girl so happy. The world needs more people like you
