My Linguine came out first, followed by my partner's dish 25 minutes later, which came in a cracked bowl. My son's Nuggets and chips came out 30 minutes after my partner's dish, making it 50 minutes after my Linguine. The salt shaker fell apart, the table was sticky and dirty. The food tasted good, but for $104, it was not worth it and the staff didn't seem to care. Despite the beautiful location, I would recommend having drinks outside and eating elsewhere. The staff treated me as if I was lucky to be there, overall it was an unfortunate experience. I will be sharing this with my friends on Facebook.
Had the Fish N Chip and Latte and the place is packed with customers on a lovely sunny day. Situated at the white sandy beach makes it more reason people wanting to flock to this place to enjoy the food coffee or even beer. Overall, it was good thus highly recommended.
Dropped in for a quick coffee and bite to eat on Sunday morning. No customers in the restaurant and the 3 staff just talking amongst themselves. It took over 10min to get a latte (which the waiter spilled on the way). After 15 minutes I dared to ask when my toasted ham/cheese croissant would come. The waiter told me “sorry, staff shortage”. They charge 12$ for a ham/cheese croissant more than anywhere else in the area. The have staff which clearly don’t give a toss about the customer experience. Hope the owner reads this review and changes things. It’s an iconic spot but the way they go about business is really really bad.
Today my husband, our baby and myself went to this Cafe for a quick lunch on the first day out of lockdown. The wait staff requested to see our vaccination certificate prior to entering. We informed them that we have a medical exemption. They allowed us to take a seat and wanted to see our exemption paperwork at the table we were seated at. unfortunately we were diagnosed with covid and our doctor informed us it is not recommended for us to get the vaccine at the moment, and provided us a temporary exemption. We showed the paperwork and our identification to the manager to which he accepted. My husband went to the counter to order our food only to be told by the manager he cannot serve us and we will have to leave the Cafe as he thought our exemption was FAKE! My husband then showed him the EMAIL from our doctor with the attached exemption form, the manager then changed his reason and said we cannot be served as we haven 't been double vaxxed. In front of all the customers he discriminated against us and made us leave the Cafe because we weren 't able to get the vaccination due to our medical reasons. Shame on this man and Cafe for making a family feel like this uncomfortable in front of everyone !! Then to yell at us infront of other customers as we leave the Cafe we don 't take exemptions, it 's doubled vaxxed ONLY, GO GET VACCINATED THEN COME BACK
We ordered two eggs Benedict ($26 each) and waited nearly an hour before asking if our order had been overlooked. They checked the receipts and informed us it would take an additional 20 minutes, apologizing for the delay and offering a refund if we preferred. Unfortunately, it was too late for us to find another restaurant so we decided to wait. The restaurant should consider hiring more staff if they are unable to handle the volume of customers they serve. The view from the restaurant is stunning, but the long wait time was disappointing and dissuades us from returning.
