The caramel slice, so good. A little sweeter and crunchier base than I'm used to but the caramel and choc layers absolutely classic. The lamington was a 10/10 classic country bakery lamington. Soft, light sponge, classic chocolate and coconut coating. Was just passing through but next time I'll make the time to stop for a treat.
Listen, I was just regaled with one of the most horrific stories I 've ever heard. Yesterday my mother and heavily pregnant sister were out for a day on the town and decided to treat themselves to some lovely bakery food. Let me set the scene: They enter the warrila bakery with high hopes, upon first viewing everything looks good. Gourmet even as they would tell it. Quite excited they order a sausage roll, a meat pie, a caramel slice and what they described as a godly sized Lamington. Naturally, like any normal woman who 's just purchased an assortment of goodies they were eager to dive into the assumed delectable haul. They start with the pie. The pastry was good, but the inside was a jelly texture with essentially no genuine meat involved in the equation. Sitting this aside my mother asked if she could share my sister 's sausage roll only to discover that this too was severely lacking in the meat department. I know they say size doesn 't matter but when you 're looking at a little strip of meat flopping around in a hollow pastry tube then I 'm afraid we 've got some problems on our hands. Okay they decide. At least we 've got desserts! . The caramel slice was less than satisfactory with a crusty breadish base and an unusual consistency on top. At this point, ladies and gentlemen, it 's looking grim. Fortunately you 'll remember that godly lamington earlier. Surely that 'll save it, right? WRONG. I am very sad to say that what my family received was in fact, not a lamington but a stale old, rock hard hot dog bun with some sad cream and a few globs of jam on top. Shattered. Absolutely obliterated. Needless to say, we will not be back.
The best!!! Always the freshest rolls Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Bread rolls for veitnamese rolls are always half stale maybe the way they make them. However taste is good, rolls are stingy too ending up having to pay extra for Mayo as you only get a tea spoon leaves it abit dry being the only sauce on the roll paired with a very dry roll, also have to pay extra for meat as they have skills in fine slicing. Will not continue supporting this bakery
Not very tidy , Oak flats rolls and cakes taste better. Sorry guys just a truthfull appraisal
