Bamboo By Kulantro - Albuquerque

Delicious! Excellent customer service and the best egg rolls I've ever tasted. One thing is for sure about Bamboo by Kulantro: you're definitely getting your money's worth!

I oddly remember this place being better than it was during my recent visits. The food is well-prepared—I had a protein plate—but you definitely need to have a lot of patience when dining in. I would recommend ordering takeout for a better experience. I visited twice recently, hoping it would just be an off day, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Just be prepared to wait.

My husband and I were visiting Albuquerque for the night and decided to try Bamboo by Kulantro for takeout. It was absolutely delicious—hands down some of the best pho we've ever had! We both ordered the simple pho with double rare beef, and the garnishes were incredibly fresh. The meat was tender and fresh, too. The portion sizes and prices were fantastic! We also ordered chicken spring rolls, which were enormous; we've never seen such hefty spring rolls before—they looked like burritos! We were so impressed, and if we find ourselves back in Albuquerque, we will definitely return. The service was friendly as well!

The restaurant features a contemporary ambiance enhanced by an abundance of beautiful plants. Unfortunately, we were not welcomed at the entrance nor offered menus when we arrived. The service lagged a bit, and our server was on the phone while bringing us our drinks. Despite these drawbacks, the food was exceptional! While the menu is somewhat limited, everything we sampled was absolutely delicious, and the dishes were served promptly. I highly recommend the Bahn Mi and the spring rolls—they’re packed with veggies and incredibly flavorful! The Bahn Mi is very reasonably priced, and you can easily share the other dishes to enjoy a variety of options.

After visiting Kulantro several times since its takeover, I have to say that it doesn't measure up to the flavors of the previous menu. I wish I could feel differently about it. The other reviews from 2023 reflect our experiences quite closely. Sorry to say this.
