Hello Deli - Albuquerque

Hello Deli will always have a special place in my heart this is where I had my first date with the love of my life. The service is absolutely amazing and not only welcomed my dog, but treated her like a true guest. We sat outside on the back patio which is a wonderful area. The waiter was amazing but there were no less than three others who cleared plates, brought water to my dog, and filled drinks. I ate the skillet which was super filling and had all the NM favorites. Great green chili sauce! Although I don’t understand quinoa for breakfast, I’m told it was great too: I’ll be back whenever I’m in town!

We were seated quickly and timid young guy came over and took our drink order. The waitress was a bit slow and had to come back 3 times to finish our order because she didn’t get it right the first time. Then apparently the cook must have either quit or got fired because I think the manager was cooking.We had a party of 4 and 3 of 4 orders were wrong. Different servers kept coming with various orders asking if they were ours. We also had some green chille cheese fries which used to come on a big plate but now comes in a bowl. My Greek omelet was supposed to have scrambled eggs but came with over easy, told them it was wrong then it turned out it wasn’t even mine. Then the scrambled egg Greek omelet came and the eggs looked grainy powdered.We also ordered a chicken fried steak plate with “white Christmas” only got Christmas. Extra pancakes came which we didn’t order. The service was really slow not typical of the usual service that we’ve received in the past. For a Saturday they dropped the ball. Maybe next time they’ll be better but it’ll be a while until I try them again.

WOW!!! First thing we experienced, the nicest hostess who was honest about a back up in the kitchen and kept us up to date on wait time. She was so sweet and on top of it. Her level of care and service is what you'd find at a high end steak house. When we were seated there was a nice young man ready to take our drink order. Right after that the nicest waitress came to take our order. We received our order in what felt like 5 minutes. This food was DELICIOUS, and I'm still trying to figure out how to recreate their gravy. Red pepper flakes? Anyway, the waitress came by to check on us a few times and gave us sodas to go as well. When we left so many employees told us to have a nice day and thanked us for coming. They were all so nice. Great staff awesome food, we'll be telling all our friends about this place!

Their sandwiches and salads are the bomb. I always get the egg salad sandwich with the house chips very good.Food: 5/5

I've been here before back in the days and it has always been great. Today I am not sure what was going on. Ordered a deli melt. The patty looked like it was from a frozen package. It was very dry even with the grilled onions. Fries were a bit to soggy with oil. I will try them again just not soon.Food: 2/5
