I have lived in Albuquerque for over a decade, and have found that one of the few places you can have authentic Japanese food in NM is the Restaurant Japanese Kitchen. My recommended way to enjoy their amazing Japanese food is the “OMAKASE: a chef’s special.” You will be able to experience the beautiful and delicate tastes of Japanese foods, which will be created by the head chef, “Shige-san.” He will integrate seasonal ingredients brilliantly. Please make sure to order at least 24 hours in advance (ideally 72 hours before), and it is good to inform the chef what the occasion is and your preferences. I can guarantee that he will exceed up your expectations.
