That was the hand down the best chicken fried steak I had for years. It is a very generous portion, perfectly broken and fried and shattered in a delicious cream engraving. The potatoes were also pretty good, but there were the green beans that really shined. They were perfectly flavored and their freshness was obvious. Besides the wonderful meal, the service was exemplary.
Saw this place on DDD so had to try while in Albuquerque! Waitress recommended the bacon wrapped meat lobe and coconut chocolate cream cake! Meatloaf was good and perfectly cooked! The potatoes were lubricated, but not too creamy, and the meat tasted good! The veggies were also well done. The coconut chocolate cream was creamy with a fluffy crust. Not too sweet, but definitely a nice end to a meal. I wasn't overly impressed by the drinks, but I'm not a big drinker either!
Wow, we were lucky and found this place. I usually look for DDD spots and missed them. We share the Biscuits and Gravy Deluxe, so good. 2 biscuits, 2 bacon, they said 2 eggs (but it was 3 and really good potatoes. In any case, try a place for lunch or dinner as some of these dishes also looked incredible. We will come back
I saw an episode of Diners, Dives and Drive-Ins and really wanted to taste the apple pie with green hatch chiles and I finally was able to try it out! Before I talk about the pie I want to let you all know that both the service and the combination plate were excellent! Now for the pie! It came out warm with white cheddar cheese atop and a side of vanilla ice cream. The pie was well made and the flavor profile I thought would be odd but it really worked well. I was pleasantly pleased with this dessert! Different and interestingly a winner with me as I wasn?t sure if I would like the combination of ingredients! Be sure to check this eatery out when in Albuquerque NM!
