I really enjoyed the falafel sandwich and hummus at this family restaurant. The food was very authentic and delicious.
The restaurant offers a vegetarian sampler that includes falafel (2), hummus, tabbouleh, fattoush, baba ghanoush, pickle mix, dolmas (2), and fresh pita bread. The online menu shows the price as $7.99, but it is actually $9.99 in-store. Despite this small discrepancy, I was very pleased with my experience. The owner, Omar, greeted all his customers warmly. Each item in the sampler was delicious and the portion size was generous. Don't miss out on trying the baklava, it's amazing! I am just passing through Albuquerque, but I will definitely make sure to stop by on my next visit. Updated from a previous review on Friday, March 28, 2014.
If you're wondering if this restaurant is halal, rest assured that the food was okay - standard quality, nothing exceptional. The pita seemed like it was made in a factory, not freshly in the restaurant, as it tasted old. However, the rest of the food was decent. I was informed that the chicken kebab wasn't halal as there was no halal sign.
This place has great eating to good trips. they will not be disappointed when they treat it. I had the Lebanese plate with a big basanus. authentic aromas and lots of food. well the trip worth it!
