Located upstairs above the Albion Hotel, (there is lift access) with a view over Albury and with large picture windows, we had a view of the lights of Dean St and Albury itself. We were warmly welcomed and guided to our table and then came the task of making a selection from the range of delicious options the menu presented us with. The four of us shared three tapas - calamari (tender and melt in the mouth), arancini (lovely crisp shell with light filling) and root vegetable chips ( the Beetroot was particularly yum). Adam and Stacey chose paella, whilst Kevin and I had the chicken. All meals were pleasing to the eye and a pleasure to eat. Both couples selected the white mocha cake for dessert - very moist and with delicious flavours. I chose a Moscato and the others shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio - all pleased with our selection. We also had a Muscat with dessert.Service was attentive and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We would definitely eat here again.
My partner and I have been here twice whilst we have lived in the area, and each time we have been impressed with the service that has been given to us. On this occasion the restaurant was full and were given an alternative to sit outside. Perfect! It was like our own private oasis. The wine was perfect choice for our tapas style meals and tasted splendid. Couldn't fault it. We had a wonderful evening.
We had a lovely meal here, the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable and nothing was a bother. My group shared 3 tapas....trio of dips, arancini balls and the best melt in your mouth calamari we've ever had! For mains pork belly...yum and the others the famous paella which was steaming hot and had generous pieces of seafood including mussels in the shell, prawns and a moreton bay bug. The wine suggested by the waiter went down a treat. I'm sad we were too full to order sweets as i was really looking forward to trying one of the desserts. My one whinge is I'm not a fan of paper table cloths, however that won't deter us from coming back
Had clients recommend this restaurant for dinner. So glad they did. The restaurant's roof top location had amazing views of the town. The layout of the restaurant was really nice and open. We had tapas. They were all good. I have celiacs disease and they had lots of gluten free options. The chicken bites were amazing. The wine list was also impressive and had a good mix of local and international wines. It would be a great place for business dinners or romantic dinner.
This was our first visit to Azotea and it won't be our last. We wet with friends from Melbourne and had a lovely meal. Teh restaurant is on the 3rd floor of the Albion Hotel in Albury and has large windows that have a lovely view overlooking the hills around Albury and over the town. We watched the sun set and sipped our pre dinner drinks. The table was smartly covered with white tablecloths and simply but nicely set.Service was generally very good, with one or two minor faults. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable and explained the menu items wellWe settled for tapas to begin with. We ordered a mix of 5 dishes including dips and bread, peppered pork, beef and tomato meatballs (delicious) scallops on a bed of sweet pumpkin, prawns and cutlets. These were all well presented and delicious.I decided to have a pear and candied walnut salad with an extra serve of the meatballs for my main. others in our party opted for the salad and a vegetable plate- the walnut salad was one of the bet I had ever had and the vegetables were similarly good.Main menu options included a range of paellas, beefcheeks and other contemporary offerings. On to dessert - blueberry parfait with baby meringues, lemon curd, and crumbed white chocolate and shortcake wafer -- in a bowl but yummy. others had the cheesecake, really a heavy mousse but again lovely. Coffee etc to complete a great meal.Wine was well priced as were the other drinks.Service discreet and attentive generally. Can really recommend Azotea for a lovely night out.
