Best calzone in the area. Closest thing to NY style calzones. Pizza is average for the area, nothing special. But out of all the pizza joints I've been to, the calzone is on point. Pretty much the best pizza by the slice in Maryville/Alcoa/Knoxville. I had a journey going to as many places that serve pizza by the slice that I could find. This includes the three cities mentioned above. I struggle to think of a better place. I will say there are a few better deals however those are limited to lunch specials and the pizza isn't as good. There is only one other pizza place that can equal Metro and unfortunately the special that is offered there is limited time. I wanted to mention this because I really want around to so many places and I always go back to Metro. The staff is amazing as well. I don't know exactly what it is about them but the restaurant always feels really welcoming. Just laid back atmosphere. Twice I have been inside eating and have heard people from out of state complimenting the food and giving praise. Just random people. Every time I am at Metro there are other people enjoying the food and a lot of carry out orders as well. I know I am not in the minority loving this place. I highly recommend it. Out of all the times I have been there I have only had one negative experience...when the soda fountain was out of order! The food is excellent always. Take a big slice of pizza, you gotta fold it and stick it in your mouth! Awesome place we are privileged to have a shop like this in the area. Very lucky. Love those guys/gals.
