I looked out at the 3 other tables besides ours that were taken, and said ok. Soon after, she came out and asked what we ordered again. Clearly, we were forgotten. She was running the front, and cooking in the back. 1 person for the whole restaurant. Nice one, Marriott...For a $15 dollar burger, I assumed I was gonna be in for a treat especially after I was recommended to have a really good burger here by the front desk of the hotel. I watched her hustle around and grab a frozen patty out of the freezer behind the counter and take it to the back to cook, I presume. 10-15 minutes later we got our food. My friend got his burger and fries, I got... just a salad? Where 's my burger? She apologized and took the salad, which looked good actually, back. Another 10 minutes or so she came back with my burger and side salad. The burger had no lettuce or tomato despite her describing it as having those things when I originally ordered, and had no real flavor to speak of. Below the average of frozen burgers, let alone a real hamburger. And the side salad was literally about 2 tablespoons worth of what seemed to be diced tomatoes from a can and low quality leaves. This was all paid for up front, by the way. Smart of them. I forced the whole thing down, my buddy couldn 't get passed half of his. I ended up with the runs not long after getting back to my room.To top it off, she started bringing out burgers for some of the other tables and there was lettuce and tomatoes on theirs!!! Avoid this place, walk over to the Ruby Tuesdays. You 'll be glad.
Cane down to get a cup of coffee. They advertise they close at 9:30 am but at 8:50, the bistro was closed and I couldn't get a cup of Starbucks coffee. I have stayed at much cheaper hotels, and had a full free breakfast, I expected a bit more from Marriott.
We booked a room at the Brand New Fairfield and when my husband arrived was told that no they were at the other Fairfield which is NOT where I booked a room. When they arrived at the other hotel and got into their room the TV did not work, the Phones did not work and the beds were so old they had huge massive dips in them that they couldn't even sleep. Then adding insult to injury they were told that if they wanted to eat breakfast they would have to pay for it...!!!???!!! Really pay for powered eggs and frozen waffles.....I don't think so, I have several more trips booked through Boyvoy and my rooms had better be at the ACTUAL Hotel that I book it for. It is NOT my problem they OVERBOOKED their rooms and then CLAIM that were at the wrong HOTEL. That is BS and completely uncalled for and Unnecessary. This is the WORST EXPERIENCE I have EVER had to deal with.
Travelled with an infant and they were very helpful in getting us a pack and play and directing us to the laundry. Room was great- very clean. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast but it looked like it would have been great as well. Would stay there again if we're ever back in Knoxville.
We stayed to meet some family in town, and on arriving a little early I was allowed to go ahead and check in. The girl at the desk was friendly and helpful as was her trainee. They were all very pleasant and nice to us. As for the hotel there were a few minor hiccups but nothing bad. The pool was open but no towels, I requested a pack n play to the room but the only one they had was broken (but functional! hotel has a little age on it but all in all a great stay. Trent at the front desk was the rockstar of the night though. He went above and beyond in every aspect. Brought towels to the pool, helped with the pack n play, gave my son a snack after we ate in the lobby. He was always helping guests, answering questions and doing everything he could for all the guests. People like that are what make us choose Mariott over and over!
