Corks Out Alderley Edge

I visited the Corksout over a weekend when busy. I found the staff very hospitable and the service to be attentive. I came as a party of 4 and ordered the cheese and meat platter. This was well presented and well portioned. We all had an enjoyable evening and have returned on several occasions since. I'd highly recommend a drink and snack in there ;

Great team at Corks Alderley Edge. Ash and Liam make you feel very welcome with great support from Susan and Tom. Always a good, trouble-free evening out. Long may it continue.

We live nearby and have enjoyed a few visits to this restaurant, but our most recent experience was disappointing. We ordered a sharing platter, which was delicious. However, when we requested a bottle of Pinot Grigio—a fairly standard wine—we were informed that it wasn't available at the bar. Instead, we could buy it from their shop for £24 as a takeout, but it would cost £34 if we wanted to drink it inside. This feels like a strategy to overcharge customers who choose to dine in, with a £10 markup that seems unreasonable. If they stocked popular wines at the bar, it would avoid this frustrating situation. It's disappointing to feel taken advantage of as a customer. If I could rate this experience with no stars, I would.

I had a wonderful evening at the Bollinger tasting event. The atmosphere was fantastic, the wine was exquisite, and the company was delightful. Liam and Susan were exceptional hosts. Thank you!
