Waited almost 2 hours for the shrimp calabash crab cake sandwich. 3. Had to go to the bar myself to get tea refills. Mine came with no ice. Our server never ONCE checked on us at all! 4. A young girl who was not our server brought the food basically slammed it on the table and walked away. We tried getting her attention to explain we were missing our sides, silverware, and napkins. She walks off in a huff. 5. We did get our sides but the fries were cold mushy. The hushpuppies were so hard you couldn't chew them. 6. Watched 1 of the servers sit on her phone smoke between every trip to her 3 tables. Never saw her wash her hands after smoking. We wanted out of there so fast I had to go to the bar to get our check and pay. We'd already been there almost 2 1/2 hours. We'll definitely not be back.

I love the atmosphere of this place. It's rustic and basic but a gem perched above the Greenbrier River. There was a staffing issue the day we went and our server was running ragged and stressed. Common occurrence everywhere these days though. I'm concerned about the future of this restaurant due to some rumors I heard about it possibly going up for sale. I'm not sure if it would retain its backwoods charm if Mr. Brugh wasn't managing it.
