Tried pickled eggplant for the first time, nice taste. Chutneys were relishing. Among hot food, dosa was good, rest of the food was okay. Desserts weren’t good. Nice atmosphere and ambiance. Nice location. Was busy.
Located right next to the beach, the restaurant is one of the best Indian restaurant. The taste is truly Indian so is the quantity of the food served. Food is delicious and properly cooked. If you are looking for Indian cuisine this is a must visit place.
Lovely food, well presented. Great vegetarian options too. Service was very friendly and efficient. My partner and I enjoyed a filling meal of veg samosas, potato-stuffed garlic naan (delicious, and not something we'd ever tried), and an aromatic lentil curry. Very good value, would happily have paid a bit more for the quality.
Being a vegetarian, I am always looking out for an Indian cuisine joint. After having been to highly rated Indian cuisine restaurants at Melbourne, Sydney and Gold coast, I had very average expectations from the average rated Hathi. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The ambience is great with options to sit in AC or in non-AC facing the sea. I ordered Veg platter in starters and it was delivered in real quick time. The marination was good and the aromas quite authentic. In main course, I ordered Dal, Mutter paneer, masala kulcha and aloo naan. Was again surprised to find basmati rice served complimentary with the Dal. The portions of curries served was indeed very large. In fact, the size of Indian breads served was twice the normal size. All the dishes had a very authentic Indian taste. The only thing that I felt could have been more was the count of paneer morsels in the Veg platter.
Enjoyed the buffet tonight. Plenty of choices and all tasty. Good value for $27.50.
