This bustling restaurant is a great lunchtime choice, serving generous portions of comfort food at very affordable prices. I enjoyed chicken tenders with two sides and bread, all for just $13.31, tax included. It’s also an excellent spot for breakfast to kickstart your day in Old Town, conveniently located near the Metro.

It's wonderful to have an affordable dining option in Old Town, and Bob and Edith's new location continues to uphold their outstanding diner quality. I just had lunch there with a friend, and both the food and service were exceptional. The medium dark roast coffee (Dakota Blend) was fantastic and refilled without limit. My grilled cheese with bacon and tomato was a classic diner choice, just like my friend Riley's mouthwatering club sandwich, which I was very tempted to snag a piece of. I'm sure we'll return soon, possibly for breakfast next time—I'm eyeing that corned beef hash!

We decided to give it a chance despite typically choosing restaurants with better ratings, and it turned out to be the right choice. It's a fantastic spot for breakfast in Old Town Alexandria. The food and service were exceptional!
