Del Ray Cafe - Alexandria

This was my first time here, just moved to the neighborhood back in July and I wasn't sure if I was going to like Alexandria and have been debating moving back. But after visiting this cute little spot....im in love with Delray and not going back. This place makes you feel like you just went on vacation and found one of those old Victorian bed and breakfast to dine in with the French trist. I was amazed at the menu and all the selections they had to offer. The service was great and I believe I even meet the owner, while watching him be very hands on. Not only was our breakfast beyond amazing but so was the service, I am not allowed to have gluten due to an intolerance my nursing son has, and the menu not only had visual selections but my server was able to make tons of suggestions. I highly recommend coming here, and I can't wait to tell everyone back in Maryland about this nice little what I felt was a getaway spot. Can't wait for my next visit!

Amanda, Lucas and Finley took us there for breakfast this morning. Was over the top!! From the moment we walked in, the staff was taking care of us. Croissants and coffee on the table soon as we sat down. Breakfast on table in ten minutes of order. Food and service was top shelf. I had the best chip beef gravy I can remember! Owner intro himself and was very nice! Great place!! We will be back!

Just had brunch!!! So delish! The burger is so yummy and totally love that you can do gluten free, paleo and keto here! Highly recommend!!!

4 hungry travelers stopped in this past Friday on our way to a wedding and had and experienced awesome breakfast. We alll enjoyed the food and the service! The Eggs Benedict, on a croissant, was excellent! The poached eggs were done perfectly to order, the granola parfait. the omelette with spinach, the beet salad and the half grapefruit with honey and caramelized brown sugar were all enjoyed. Thank you Del Ray Cafe!! We will be back!

We needed to get dinner before a show at Arena Stage, and since today was my husband's birthday and the day I retired, I thought Del Ray Cafe was just the place. We both had the beef tenderloin, which was delicious and so tender. The Apple tart dessert was amazing. Laurent, the owner, served us, making excellent recommendations and interesting conversation. Especially enjoyed how the staff engaged the 5 well-mannered children at the table next to us with 5 adults. A wonderful dining experience!
