Indigo Landing - Alexandria

This was my first time eating indigo landing, but I will be definitiw back! eating is delicious and they offer huge menu selection. service was very friendly and attentive. my guests and I were very impressed.

The kitchen was made of steak and prime rib. the rocks I had were darkened and cool. the waitress was absolutely friendly, but overwhelmed. the appetizers were the best part of the meal. the artichoke and the crab dive were amazingly delicious. the lookout is breathtaking. I would only come back for a summer drink on the deck.

A friend and I went to indigo landing for a restaurant week dinner. what we did not know was that it was the last night to open it before it closed for renovations! our waiter greeted us with these information as we have set ourselves. we have been here many times and have always enjoyed it. we will see their website because we will try again what comes next. the location is beautiful, as it is about the water of reagan national airport and washington, dc. it is also right next to a sailing boat port. so, beautiful lights in the night reflect the water and sailing boats that drive during the day. I'd say watch her reopening and try the new place!

The acoustic is terrible, although the view of the city is beautiful. it's a little too dingy for my taste, but they'll renovate soon.

It was our first visit as well as our 30th wedding anniversary. The hostess was very nice providing different seating options since there were a couple of large parties;however, the server was out to lunch. She messed up our drink order and completely forgot our appetizers. According to our server she had worked at the establishment for 23 years (or maybe 30 she stated both)and was just notified the restaurant was closing. We were lucky enough to pick the very night they were closing for 2 months to restructure! (And they had already informed the servers that they may not get called back) I guess this explains why she was so rattled and the restaurant was out of many selections. It was definitely a memorable anniversary dinner but not for the right reasons.
