Sage Pantry - Algonquin Highlands

We enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone in search of a homestyle meal.

The staff at the restaurant was very friendly, but there was some confusion regarding the preparation of our takeout meals. The curry I ordered did not come with cooking instructions, so I assumed it was fully cooked like the rice. However, it turned out the curry was raw and I had to figure out how to cook it properly so the potatoes weren't undercooked. On a positive note, we also ordered an artichoke and spinach parmesan dip which was delicious both heated and cold. This dish did come with instructions on how to heat it up.

I have been a regular at this place for years and the baked goods are amazing. I highly recommend calling ahead for the Friday night supper club, where you can get freshly prepared meals to take to the cottage. The chicken lasagna is particularly delicious! They also have a great selection of beverages and local artisan products in the store. The owner, Michelle, also offers catering services and is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Make sure not to miss out on this gem!
