On a visit to Alicante with several friends, we had just sat down at a nice fish restaurant in the old town when my wife was taken ill. We left our friends and I took her back to the hotel. When she was settled, I walked around the corner to La Fuente as it was getting late and I was very hungry. Lovely place with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered a 'La Rubia Burguer ' as I needed comfort food. When it arrived and I started to eat, it became clear that the burger consisted of very inferior 'meat ' which seemed to contain a great deal of connective tissue. The texture was very unpleasant and the flavour not good. What a shame, because the restaurant was very nice and clearly produced high quality dishes of different sorts but not their burgers
My wife and i have visited Bodega La Fuente several times since it opened in Novermber last year and it's a great addition to the restaurant scene in Alicante. All the food is freshly prepared and stylishly presented and you can also watch one of ladies preparing the anchovies at the bar. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and happy to make recommendations which never disappoint! La fuente is located in a great of of town Plaza Luceros and we have no hesitation in giving this place a huge thumbs up, its a gem!
Where to take a very cold reed accompanied by some of the dishes produced where the protagonist is the exquisite anchovy of a saint. the place is cozy and the service pleasant. prices aren't cheap, but the quality/price ratio of what I tried is quite acceptable.
A place that's been open for a while. the anchovies of the very rich saints, as well as the sausage. very friendly staff. prices do not include iva.
