We paid too much for a fish parrilla. All the fish that was supposed to be grilled was deep fried. Over cooked and we were sick all night after dinner. The jamón serrano was so hard to eat. Over all very very expensive and bad quality on food!!!!! Be careful!!
After a weeks villa holiday in Javea with our family we moved down to Alicante for three days in the hotel Melia. We have eaten out numerous times for lunch and dinner during this holiday and have found food and Service to be excellent in many awesome locations, until yesterday evening at the Chipiron at jand it arrived medium rare. Theae were the most expensive steaks on the menu and they were both well below expectation. The paella was lacking in taste and we have had a number this holiday to benchmark. Staff were hard to attract and as we are not fluent in Spanish did not see the point in complaining. We were not asked if our meal was OK and they could tell by the food remaining that all was not well. I don't think they really cared and we just paid and left quickly. Not a good experience and needless to say we didn't leave a tip and that is rare for us. I would give 2 out of 5 at best and would warn against using this restuarent. There are plenty of others that aim to please.
Aunque el lugar sea bonito y la comida aceptable, me parece excesivamente caro para los servicios que ofrecen, tanto de comida como en general.
Han renovado el puerto y el local también, recomiendo las frituras y arroces porque se nota que venden calidad y saben lo que hacen con el género. Ahora mismo el mejoe restaurante calidad/precio del puerto de Alicante.
