CervecerÍa La Merengue on Av.Alfonso El Sabio is a famous restaurant that offers a fantastic food and drinks range thats well priced. This brilliant cervecería was established in 1969 and has stood the test of time'with its superb well kept interior and superb decor and furnishing's and great seating options both inside and outside. We visited early in the afternoon and it was really busy but we didn't have a problem in here as we sat out-side as it was a roasting hot day. On our visit we had a few bottle's of Amstel brewery beers that where served iced cold and well priced.Cervecería La Merengue.I would say was the oldest cervecería which we visited in Alicante and was an excellent cervecería and well worth a visit.(This is my first review of Cervecería La Merengue). There's very little English spoken here but nods and smiles get you through. Pleasant staff and the tapas is good.

Pedimos el menú diario para 3 personas, los platos estaban buenos pero al añadir la factura nos cobraron 1 menú diario y 2 menús de fin de semana, mucho más caros. Se lo contamos al camarero que nos dice que el plato de calamares que sirven es más caro, aunque se equivocó en el pedido. Insistimos diciéndole que eran los calamares de la fórmula diurna. Pagamos y luego se ofreció a reembolsarnos la diferencia. no creo que vuelva

Tienen menús a muy buen precio y la comida está muy buena, puedes tapear también es una buena opción
