They complained about the lack of flavor in the quesadillas, tacos, and tortas. The quesadillas had what looked like canned chicken, and the meat in the tortas was dry. Honestly, the food was overpriced and disappointing. All the five-star reviews must be fake because the food was not good at all.
The food was amazing, and the location is easy to access. The owner was very helpful and greeted us warmly right away. The fish taco plate was fantastic!
In my opinion, the food here seems quite authentic (though I can’t be completely sure as I’m not Mexican). The atmosphere feels like a cozy mom-and-pop spot, and I noticed many Mexican customers, which is a good sign. The shrimp I had was delicious, and the service was prompt. However, I had to take off one star because the restaurant could use a bit more cleanliness!
Customer service was friendly and the restaurant appeared clean. The Carne Asada was chewing and tasteless. The chicken was tender, but again, tasteless. The Carnitas was delicate, but seemed to be boiled in a slow cooker and had not the pronounced brown fat taste that makes Carnitas so delectable.
This is a fantastic hidden gem in Laguna Hills, great food and the service is friendly. Chicken mole enchiladas, chilirelleno and chorizo egg were awesome! Breakfast was great too!
