Bonnie Ruth's Bistro Francais - Allen

I was celebrating my Birthday with out of town family, who had never been to Bonnie Ruth's before. They enjoyed the experience and were very pleased with their meal. I am happy I chose Bonnie Ruth's to celebrate with them.

How does a restaurant tucked in a shopping center in Allen, Texas manage to feel like a true French Bistro? Well, with authentic feeling sidewalk tables fronting out to a sidewalk with a pond to start. Outstanding cuisine and sizable portions! The night we were there, service was not quite up to the rest of the experience. I think this will improve as the staff settles in.

Food was good but not great and the menu was a little confusing. Supposed to be French but several Italian and other choices. Lighting was too bright which made it feel more like a family restaurant Cheddars or Cotton Patch but higher priced. Service was very good. There were five of us in the party and after dinner we all agreed it was not a bad experience but no one felt like there was any reason to return to this restaurant too many other choices in the Allen area with better overall experience.

Bonnie Ruth's is a reliable, consistent winner in Frisco. We actually decided to spend Easter Brunch there after enjoying a nice Date there on Great service and great food.

They had a jazz combo Friday night -they were really good but pretty loud. Also had a great dinner special Thursday and Friday nights for couples. We will be back for that next time!
