Stylishly busy place. We stopped checking the menu (our mistake) for a quick drink on the terrace. Beverages were made by a very attentive barman, but the bill was a bit of a shock sea med to a popular place might be very trendy, but make sure you check the prices and have the budget for it. I'm sure the food is great, the menu was interesting, but the best prices.
Ask anyone who's been there where to eat in Lisbon, and chances are this place will come up first on most lists. The ceviche here is pretty terrific the best we've tasted outside Peru, and prepared with much the same care and freshness. The menu is ideal for sampling the many varieties of preparations; three items will easily satisfy most parties of two. The street side bar does brisk business whipping up the requisite pisco sours, but the wine list is also replete with excellent local vintages. Outside tables offer a perfect place to streetwatch along one of the city's most tony avenues, which helps pass the time when the service becomes spotty.
Seriously, this Cevicheria served one of the best meals we had in Lisboa. We strolled by late in the evening at 9+ pm and decided to check it out. It was packed with locals and tourists so the super nice waiter said he will give us seats when available. We waited outdoors and had drinks the restaurants’s special Pisco Flour. We took to our drinks to the seats at the bar after the waiter called. We then ordered our dishes! The meal started with squid ink crackers and appetising Peruvian popcorn. Then the show started firstly, the Portuguese ceviche that consisted of cod, octopus and some cooked egg yolk there’s no better way to start a meal; the dish was fresh and delicious, very hard to not go for seconds. Then the tuna belly and wasabi tacos came next umami filled balancing act with soy, wasabi and the yummy fats from the tuna. Lastly, the Quinotto red mullet and black tiger prawn, risotto done with quinoa and perfectly cooked seafood and oyster form. Sounded odd at first but the combination worked very well together a must try. If have a chance, we would love to go back. A must visit Peruvian gem in the heart of Lisboa!
If I could give them more than I would. The drinks, food, severs and the ambience was more than I can speak for. I have no idea why they have and half stars. If you are in Lisbon you have to try this place.
