This is the type of family business that lacks in these days: large service, amazing food and...super prices!

I can't recommend this place enough. to the earthy and sincere service provided by the owner and the friendly waiter. when we entered, there were three local and one tourist. the locals watched the football game on tw and have some talks with. the owner and waiter about the game from time to time. the place felt like a neighboring canteen with real local vibes. we ordered the fissure and steak with fries and rice. it was the best fissure we had in our two weeks in portugal. we only spent 15 euro. what a steal!

Walking down the Avenida da Liberdade with friends I just happened to notice the hotel down a side street where we had stopped on our first visit to Lisbon 10 years ago. So we decided to explore and what did we find? This great little restaurant we had discovered back then and where we had eaten every night of our stay. So we went there for dinner that evening. Well, apart from a bit of a layout change, it was just as we remembered it, albeit with the new multilingual waiter. Had a great meal although I am ashamed to say that I was unable to finish the pernil (pork hock) I ordered. We returned the next night to watch the England world cup match. Again, great food at ridiculous prices.

The locals were watching the soccer match on tv and having some discussions with the owner and waiter about the match from time to time. The place felt like a neighbourhood canteen with genuine local vibes. We ordered the seafood rice, and steak with fries and rice. It was the best seafood rice we have had in our two weeks in Portugal. We spent only 15 Euros. What a steal!
