Retama - Almería

Restaurant in the lovely Hotel La Caminera. This is a must-do if you are in the area and there is absolutely no excuse to miss it if you are staying in the Hotel. I went for one of the 2 set menus, which was rather inexpensive in light of the quality and quality of the food and the great service. I also added the wine pairing which was a very good choice (great sommelier). The food was beautifully presented, and the quality of the (mainly locally sourced) produce was high. The service was impeccable and the wine selection was a perfect match. The restaurant itself is relatively minimalist and small, so you should book in advance. Overall, a highly recommended experience.

If you want to treat yourself with great food in the middle of nowhere (the hotel is catering for golfers and pilots, as it comes with an airstrip), this is the place. The Michelin star is well deserved we went with the large menu with wine pairing. For what you get, the price is still moderate.

We feel at home. excellent attention, food (in our case tapeo) very good and at very good price. The crumbs have transported me to my childhood in the alpujarra and alioli. without words. Thank the staff for being so kind!
