While the variety of dim sum dishes was vast, the quality did not match up to what we experienced 2 years ago. One highlight was the ice cream, which was extremely chic, fresh, crisp, and tasty. Perhaps on a different day, we may give it another chance as previous visits were quite enjoyable.
We arrived at about 8 o'clock to connect with our family and have a dim sum breakfast. the restaurant is quite large and light, the furniture are round tables in different formats and comfortable table chairs. the service is friendly and efficient, a great variety. dim sum are offered on trolleys. next to salty and sweet dim sum, the restaurant also offers various paos, salty as well as sweet as liu sa pao. the quality as well as the sorts make this dim sum breakfast a real family celebration. we'll be back. the prices are very reasonable. all in the review: 4,5/5
The restaurant was spacious and air-conditioned. The service was decent. The great pau was very delicious. The other dimsum dishes were generally okay, with some being good or above average. I have no complaints about the experience. I cannot comment on the price as I was a guest of my local friends in Alor Setar.
In Alor Setar, there are numerous dim sum and Chinese group lunch restaurants, many of which are highly competitive due to their long-standing reputation. Unfortunately, WFL is not among the top contenders, as it provides poor customer service. Despite this, the hospital decided to choose this restaurant for their annual Chinese New Year gathering simply because it was the most affordable option. If we had the budget, we would have chosen a better establishment. I am hesitant to recommend WFL for wedding banquets or dim sum in the future, as our experience during the CNY lunch was disappointing. The food was average at best, and the customer service was severely lacking, leaving us with a dissatisfying experience that actually dampened our appetites.
Crowded restaurant, especially during weekend. As noted by others, plenty room for improvement. Many have to wait extended duration before securing a seat. We basically helped ourselves from getting plate and chopsticks, refilling teapot to placing orders dimsum.
