Nasi Kandar Hieshani - Alor Setar

We arrived at the Chinese New Year on Monday, close to 9 o'clock. The wait was a bit long, but the service was quick. The restaurant was not crowded, as many people were probably celebrating elsewhere. The food and dishes were decent. We ordered 4 pieces of fried chicken, 3 servings of squid sambal, and drinks (iced tea). The total bill was only RM40, which was surprisingly cheap. We were impressed by the taste of the Nasi Kandar, it was unlike the typical Mamak style. We will definitely be returning.

I ordered a mixed curry gravy nasi kandar with okra and lamb shank curry. The food was absolutely delicious and delightful. The staff was friendly and genuinely Malaysian. However, the location could be improved. It's a must-visit for food lovers. I was fortunate that they were open when I arrived. It was not necessary.

I really enjoy the curry and the hähnchen at this restaurant. There are no diet-friendly options here. They may regret it, but I recommend dining in, at the last table on the road.
