We went on a Tuesday and they were doing karaoke which we ended up really liking. The our server and the MC that night was amazing! We will definitely be back :
We came to The Dancing Crab as a party of four. We ordered appetizers and boils. In general, the food was pretty good, although I must agree with other reviewers that the boils are slightly salty. So, even though we all finished our meals, we found that the salt point was too high. Other than that, drinks were decent and the staff was alright (a little erratic).
I didn’t know Sundays were karaoke, so that was a change of pace for a seafood restaurant.I asked the hostess if I could sit away from the stage where all the empty locations were at at the opposite end. She said no.I waited 20 minutes for anyone to come to the table. I also received an alert on my watch about ambient noise exceeding 90dB and with prolonged exposure could cause hearing damage.Literally, the best thing about my experience here was my waitress. I could not hear her say one word and we were a foot away from each other, yelling. She moved me to the back and she apologized for many things, but all of it was out of her control to be honest. I order a soda and a pound of King Crab legs, seasoning on the side.Half the King Crab was old (legs) and the other half was relatively fresh (arms). The garlic butter was bad. Bland and without any distinct flavor besides garlic. I say the crab legs were old, because I bent the leg in half and it folded over without breaking. Needless to say, I paid more than $60 for the meal later on that night. It was the only thing I ate that day and I ended up having diarrhea at 1:00AM. I had to call off work, that’s how bad it was. I gave my waitress a $20 tip for being so kind and compassionate.I would not recommend this place.
The customer service was okay. Everyone seemed cool. The fried food was either over cooked or fried with old oil. Some of which looked close to being burnt. The seafood lacked flavor. We didn't finish it, and we ended up throwing it away. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't good either. The place is okay. They aren't bad or good. The prices were good for what we got, but I wouldn't eat here again.
