Congratulations to the designer of the website! It looks so much better on the Internet than in reality. The restaurant is nice inside, the service was good and also the owner was present. The fish soup (small version) we selected as starters was still ok, but the nets were not: The fish was overcooked to eat very dry and was presented on a mountain of vegetables and two pieces of potatoes under the vegetables and the fish. We didn't feel good in the afternoon after we had eaten there. The most disappointing, however, was the presentation on the website and where you finally land: right next to an industrial area, looking at an old fireplace, some boats in the garden that were ready to water to the protected port a little from the lake. So, our imagination, a lakeside lunch didn't come true. We're not coming back!
A typical Swiss fish restaurant, perhaps the premises are a little dated, but excellent fish. You won't find it if you don't know. And if you might not go in. But that would be a shame. Prices are not exceptional (for Switzerland)
Ever had whitefish liver? Me neither. To this day. You'll be surprised. It's very tasty. This restaurant is very original and you should not miss it if you like fresh fish from a real local fisherman. A must if you are in the region Lake Constance. Be aware that it is not a bargain. But you can try apple wine called boil juice with your fish. It is cheap and better than many wines. Excellent with a whole smoked fish... We'll be back.
After many years we were back in the jägerhaus and did not regret it. the garden is still idyllic and with children ideal (small playground.) the service was friendly and good, but the fish were simply excellent. we live at the bottom of the lake and have tried many fish restaurants, these were the best.
