Golden Corral Buffet Grill - Alton

I rarely eat at a buffet, but I got some coupons in the mail and thought I'd give them a try. I'll start out with the most positive thing I noticed and that was the customer service. I walked in with a coupon to get a discount on my breakfast. After presenting it to the young man working the register, he politely asked me if by chance I was over the age of 60. When I responded that I was well beyond that number, he handed me the coupon back. He informed me that my senior discount, was a better deal then the coupon. His honesty got points with me. Then as I got my coffee cup, the young lady working the floor asked me if I'd need cream. I told her no, but I appreciated her proactive approach. Once seated, she kept my cup full of hot coffee and cleared away my empty/used plates quickly. The food was a good variety. They offered bacon and both patty and link sausage. I was surprised that they had both regular and blueberry pancakes. What really shocked me, was they had a omelette bar. They had a cook preparing fresh omelettes with a huge selection of ingredients. For the price point, the food was a good value. I will admit, most of it was lukewarm and that is why I gave them 3 Stars.

Really enjoy dining here for lunch or dinner, a great selection of fresh foods that are cooked well.. not to mention the yummy deserts Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20

Great wait staff. Food is always good. I prefer dinner as there is Steak, Shrimp and Wings. Lunch was good as well, they had fresh grilled pork steak, pot roast and always have fried chicken. Don't forget the amazing rolls and honey butter. Dessert were awesome, banana pudding, bread pudding, cobbler and carrot cake to name a few. Service: Dine in
