Joe K's Family - Alton

Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We have never had Joe K’s and wanted to try it on a Saturday afternoon. When we got there we were told about a 15 minute wait and to write down our names. 30 minutes passed so we went inside and sat at the waiting area. As another 15 minutes passed we watched two other groups of two (we were a group of two with a toddler) get sat before us. When we finally got sat, we ordered quickly. We waited. And waited…… and waited… the table next to us got sat and they ordered. About 15 minutes later, they got their food. At this point, my daughter was crying watching others eat and we had been skipped over enough. I let the waitress know our experience and we left. I will never go back.

Hands down the best mom and pop food in the Midwest. I'm not kidding. Grab your entire family and get your butt to Joe K's for breakfast.. oh and the service was top notch also.. But the food, omg the food was the best thing I've put in my mouth in a long time.. There were no tables available, the place was packed and the service and food were incredible and right on time. I had the country fried steak covered in white gravy

Best breakfast around the area. Always clean, good service and consistent food.
