I dunno why they say building for rent on the side of the building, but I hope that means you guys are just moving somewhere else and not shutting down, because the pizza I had two weeks ago was delicious. Will definitely come back for your subs! Loved all the photos on the wall and history of Altoona.
Soaking wet buffalo chicken sandwich. This is gross. It like they dipped it in water9
Had the cheesesteak, one of the best I've ever had!
The home of the OG Altoona Pizza!! Sicilian crust, with marinara sauce, and topped with salami, green peppers, and cheese!! To some this might be odd to some but don't knock it til you have tried it. The slightly salty dough is soft and Fluffy. It's very filling compared to regular pizza. If your not looking for pizza. Try anything on the menu I'm sure you will be happy!
I had heard about Altoona style pizza online from people who had most likely never tried it but spoke negatively of it. I had to try it myself when I was in the area to make my own judgment. First of all, the crust is basically perfect. It’s crisp and crunchy on the bottom and a bit thick with substance. The flavor is complex and perfectly strong with notes from the ham and a lot added from the sharp cheese. The sauce was not neglected and was also flavorful. The green pepper adds an additional crunch and freshness, and is sliced thinly enough and used sparsely enough that it is not overpowering or offensive as is a risk with green pepper. The man behind the counter was nice and gave me a good vibe. He seemed to enjoy his work. The atmosphere was pleasant and charming. Not too loud although the lighting was a bit bright for my taste.
