Dairy Queen - Altoona

This Dairy Queen location is one of the older ones, so it's a bit small inside. In the past, it had a reputation for being rundown, but that's definitely not the case anymore! It was actually very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and courteous, and the service was both fast and accurate. I have to say, the Blizzard treats here were significantly better than those at the busier location just a few miles away. Don't let old perceptions put you off from visiting this Dairy Queen. I much prefer this place—it's less crowded, has a friendlier staff, and offers better products. Definitely worth a stop!

The food here is fantastic, served quickly by friendly staff who have been around for a while. They take the time to get to know you and remember your preferences if you provide specific details. The Blizzards are exceptional, and they always flip them in front of you! The rotisserie chicken bites are incredibly tender and absolutely delicious – a must-try!

The ice cream is delicious, and the food is quite decent. The service is attentive, but the restaurant really needs some renovations. Also, the bathroom has a strong odor that needs to be addressed.

They make dilly bars in house and they make them vegan friendly. I'm allergic to milk so it's nice I can still enjoy a cold treat with my family. Thanks for thinking of those of us with milk allergies! It is so appreciated!To the amazing staff who dealt with ballerinas for two hours, your hard work and patience under fire does not go unnoticed. You took care with each child's order and had really good team work the way you all trudged through the orders and finding the right bun headed child. To the employee running the register and restocking I spoke to for a moment, you are a real jem and you a leader, willing to do what it takes and your attitude and talking to you made my day even better. I forgot your name but not your face and if you see this give yourself a pat on the back because you are going places and your attitude is going to take you far in life as you are easily not replaceable whatever you decide to do! Props to the whole crew that night!
