Denny's - Altoona

So, this location is opened 24/7. We arrived at about 1030 at night. The main dining area was full. We were told to have a seat in the back where no one else was sitting. We obliged, we waited about 20 minutes until a middle aged employee that seemed really bothered that we were there came and told us that we can't sit there. We explained that we were placed there by the host. The main area still didn't have any open tables, and we were refused service in the area we were sitting. So, we left and took our patronage elsewhere. Management really needs to get it together on the night time.

Several weeks ago at Denny's I ordered a sirloin steak very well done and two sides. The steak came back rare. Told the waitress, and then waited another half hour for my steak while the rest of my dinner sat on the cooks counter getting cold.Decided to try Denny's again today.Service was terrible!!! Waited more than 10 minutes before the waitress took our drink order. After 15 minutes our drinks never arrived. When my husband complained the manager told us to leave and go to Perkins restaurant which we did. Service and food at Perkins has always been very satisfactory. Won't waste our time at Denny's ever again. Rude manager, terrible service. I'm 65 yrs old and this is the first time I've posted a bad review.

Waitstaff was not friendly...seemed annoyed. Rap music was blaring from the kitchen. My burger was good but I got just 6 onion rings with it for an upcharge? Hostess who took our check was not friendly at all..felt like it was a chore for her to ring us up and never said thank you. Very disappointed

Updating my review! My last review wasn't good either. Me and my boyfriend ordered online for pick up. We got the $6 value menu breakfast deal. When I looked inside I was pretty annoyed, my bacon was burnt and I barely got any eggs. Not that I was expecting the container to be filled but I thought I'd get more than whatever that is. The only good thing were the pancakes. I have gone to Denny's 3 times in that past two months and every single time was terrible. I used to love Denny's and everyone was so nice, and the food was awesome but now everything is terrible. I will not be returning here to waste my money.

We have eaten at Denny's many times, although mainly at the johnstown restaurant. This has to be the worst breakfast that we ever had. the coffee was stale and my breakfast was cold. We will not be returning to the altoona denny's again, my husband needs to have treatment early in the morning at the VA hospital usually on an empty stomach and that's wy we stopped for breakfast but we will be looking for a different place.
