I always have a fantastic experience at this particular Five Guys. I really appreciate the friendly and kind culture among the employees. Food: 5/5.

However, I did have a negative experience with a man in a black shirt, who I assume was part of management. He was loudly berating the staff and yelling in the restaurant during a busy time. It was clear that his behavior was impacting both the morale of the employees and the customers. We could hear him shouting at them, which felt incredibly disrespectful, especially considering everyone was doing their best. In my years of experience in customer service, I have never witnessed someone treat staff so poorly, especially so publicly and loudly. Other patrons around us also commented on how rude he was. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable for someone representing the establishment. You won’t retain workers by treating them poorly; they deserve to be treated with respect. I commend the employees for enduring such disrespect without walking out. Aside from that individual, I have no complaints. Everything and everyone else was fantastic!

Five Guys in Altoona, PA - September 26, 2022. I usually enjoy great food and find the staff to be polite and professional. It's my favorite spot for burgers and fries, without a doubt. However, this visit was disappointing. The fries were overly salty to the point of being nearly inedible, and my burger was served lukewarm. It seemed like there were new staff members on duty — three were loudly chatting about basketball while the fourth, along with the manager, focused on their tasks away from customers. This lack of professionalism was disappointing. I won’t be returning to this location until there’s a change in staff, and I hope it happens soon because I really love Five Guys.
