The Phoenix - Altoona

One of my fav locations for tasty Italian food. I give this place two thumbs up. Definitely worth going back to.

Service was excellent! Food was very tasty and hot. First time I was there, if given the opportunity I will go back.

Have to give an update... sorry... 5 stars down to 2. This was my favorite go to restaurant for special occasions and to take out of town guests.... The last 3 meals have been more disappointing than great. Dry over cooked end cut of Prime Rib, everdecreasing portions and less quality of food. Not even the salt crusted bread anymore. Plus carrots that looked out of amicrowave. The presentation wasn't even as nice as before. Note my most recent pics compared to earlier. Will seriously considerif returning again. Oh and not even any complimentary fried seasoned pasta. Located in an odd residential area of Altoona. UseGPS! Sadly not one of the best restaurants in Altoona anymore. The desserts are still excellent.

Great service, steak was excellent (Medium was nice and ****). A little slow, would not recommend for a 'quick bite ' but definitely worth a night out. Dessert was awesome.

The decor is upscale, bright and comfortable. We had dinner with friends that have dietary restrictions and the chef was more than accommodating. All the dishes they were served were not only delicious but beautifully presented. Would rate this restaurant five star.
