I'm not sure if I visited on an off day, as I've heard wonderful things about this restaurant that I unfortunately didn’t experience myself. It was quite cold inside, so I had to keep my full puffer jacket on while I ate. Additionally, they got my order wrong, and the food lacked any flavor at all.
The waitress was managing all the tables on her own, and I really appreciate her effort to be as quick as possible while always making us feel welcome. The food was amazing! I think we’ve discovered our favorite Mexican restaurant in Altus.
Genuinely authentic Mexican cuisine—no Tex-Mex in sight. The menu is quite extensive, and they even make their own fried chips. The homemade salsas range from mild to extremely hot. While it’s not a fancy establishment, it’s family-owned and features a very friendly staff. The food arrived fresh and piping hot from the stove. We definitely plan to return!
This is one of the best restaurants in town. While it may lack a vibrant atmosphere, it more than compensates with excellent food and service! I've only visited twice, but both times, the staff was attentive and the kitchen promptly delivered our meals. They serve breakfast all day, which is a major plus. I've ordered the Spanish omelette on both occasions, and each time, it had the perfect balance of filling and eggs. As we were leaving, our server expressed her gratitude for our patronage, mentioning that many people are deterred from venturing to their location on the outskirts of town or across the tracks due to the occasional train delays. Come on, folks! This place is absolutely worth the extra 30 seconds it takes to get there, even with a train stop!
