If that's the attitude at the front desk I can't imagine the service inside! Think twice! Harry's is probably much better option... food great and service top notch!
I went last night with a couple of friends from my company to have dinner in this beautiful place in San Ángel, we asked for Quesadillas with Guacamole so my foreign friends could taste one of the favorites plates in México; the guacamole was spoiled, thanks God I try it first; I asked for a new one and the waiter kindly give us another one; but the avocato was spoiled too. One of my friends used to live a couple of years in Mexico City so she asks for some tacos, she didn't eat them because the Barbacoa tastes old :( It is really a pity to visit a place where the food is awful. The service is very good; the waiters are very kind, they have parking, a beautiful place but if you cannot have quality food this cannot be named a restaurant.
La Buena Fe is conveniently located in Altavista Avenue. One of the most beautiful streets in Mexico City, located in a traditional neighborhood, that used to be a small town during the colonial times. They have a great terrace where you can enjoy a great breakfast. I use it mostly for business breakfasts, which are very common in Mexico and a great way of doing business, as you enjoy a nice slow "power breakfast" and close some business. If you are visiting Mexico and are invited to a business breakfast, do not expect to eat and leave, plan for a two-hour breakfast and follow your host's lead.Their menu is very good, they always have fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juices, not just orange juice and the coffee is good as well. The service is very efficient and the waiters have good memory, so do not be surprised if you a re greeted warmly on a second visit. For lunch and dinner, the place becomes very lively, and the terrace quite busy. Definitely a place to enjoy with friends sharing stories and having lots of fun.
This place has something special! It is a nice typical Mexican bar with great service, great food and best environment. You can plan a perfect evening with friends to have some drinks, watch football, enjoy excellent Mexican dishes. It is located in the traditional super fancy area of San Angel and it is easy to get there. The dishes are prepared with the best quality and in good portions. The bar is extensive and you can ask almost for any drink. Some Thursdays night, they have live music.
Stopped off for lunch and decided on Salmon , asked for it to be cooked medium and it was the best cooked salmon I have ever had. Not sure if it was by accident but it started off undercooked and was sent back a second time to be cooked further and came out cooked to perfection flaky yet soft and juicy . None of that dried out salmon you get in most restaurants. Perfect for a light lunch or drinks. Seems popular with locals in Mexico City . Would recommend a pit stop if you are in the Polanko District of Mexico City trying to shop till you drop in all the high end boutique stores. You will find Bulgari, Hugo Boss,Channel Rolex, Cartier etc. Even places that are inexpensive like Zara.
