Big Texan Steak Ranch - Amarillo

Everything we ordered was very delicious. the atmosphere was great and the food was served quickly.

That is the place where they come for the experience and not just eating. added, eating is good! I'd give it four stars. but this is not the only thing that counts here. the people are kind, there is so much to see and do, and even if they are not hungry for a meal, they can go, sit on the bar or ice cream or go to the gift shop or the shooting gallery. there are things you see everywhere! while I was there, a man took the opportunity and failed. come with your appetit! they will not let any hunger!

A friend and I met in amarillo for a weekend and decided that the big texan would be a place to dinner one night, just to say that we would have been. we went on a Saturday night at 17 o'clock, as we had read that this can be a little long. we had luck and sat right away. our waitress had such a big job and delivered our beers fast. my friend and I have decided to share a steak and side and there was more than enough for both of us. I really didn't expect much of steak, but I was pleasantly surprised. we had ordered our medium rare and they met it on the spot. we also went through the gift shop and they had a lot to see. the big texan is a good tourist type stop and decent experience.

I love this place. I always get the Prime Rib and it is always excellent. This time I wanted something different so I got the Barbecue Combo: it comes with sausage, baby back ribs and brisket. The best thing was the sausage: it was great. The ribs were a little tough, and the brisket just SUCKED. It was dry, tough, and had no seasoning or flavor. The calf fries are more batter than anything else, and they’re overcooked. Steaks are GREAT though! This is a steak place, so I would stick with the steaks from now on.

This was my 2nd visit but my wife’s 1st. She was worried that it would take a long time to get our food but received everything pretty quit and steaks were cooked to perfection. She really enjoyed it and wants to come back and hopefully see someone attempt the 72oz steak dinner. Maybe next time. I highly recommend to all passer bye’s!
