Hurt Arms - Ambergate

A very nice experience. I would highly recommend dining here. The decor is very modern and contemporary with an upper market feel. Although the menu doesn't have a huge selection it was nice as it wasn't overwhelming to choose a dish. The food and drink was very tasty and came out relatively fast. The service is very good with someone hovering around consistently. Overall a very nice experience and very nice food. Would highly recommend a visit.

Went for lunch after visiting The Great British Car Journey. Service good and food was good quality. I had a lamb and mint burger that interestingly presented. My friend had homemade fish finger that he considered very good. Prices reasonable for the quality, nice atmosphere with large free car park.

Had a lovely meal here with friends on a warm and sunny Tuesday evening. We sat outside and had a drink to start with and I noticed that there are several lots of outdoor seating located to the sides and rear of the building. Our friends were staying overnight and mentioned they had a very pleasant room although it overlooked the car park. The hotel is situated opposite a junction that seemed quite busy when we arrived (6pm). We all had burgers for our evening meal. They were served with a choice of two sides, although there was so much food we struggled to eat it all nice burgers though! Unusually they were served on a 3 tier stand. There is a good sized car park at the side and this was around half full and there was a function going on while we were there. This is also a dog friendly pub and our puppy sat with us in the bar and garden. Definitely worth a visit.

Came here for lunch last Thursday and left feeling like 'So yes, there are still brilliant places to eat out! ' Fantastic food. So good we came back for breakfast on Saturday! Once again, excellent food and service. Will be back. Thank you. X

This is a beautiful place with an ample car park. Disabled parking is available. There are steps to enter the building directly from the car park. Inside, there are areas where you can sit down and socialise while enjoying a wide variety of alcohol or non-alcoholic drinks. I would highly recommend looking at the menu online prior to going if you are dining there. The menu is extremely good, but when you see the food being taken to the tables, you may change your mind as the food is served in very unique and exquisite ways. The food served is quality and beautifully presented. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is vibrant. It's clean and has a very modern but classy appearance. Some of the chairs are less comfortable, though. The toilets are easily accessed from all areas.
