The Best Fish And Chips I Have Ever Tasted!! Away in Amble for a week and I'm so pleased we went here... I would even drive 2hrs from home just for these Fish And Chips!

This is the best fish and chips I've had in decades! The portions are massive and cooked fresh to order. We should have opted for a smaller portion of chips because it was too much for us. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a crunchy and light batter that wasn't greasy at all. The place is very clean, and the staff is excellent. What more can I say?

Fantastic fish and chip shop! I ordered cakes and chips, but I noticed another customer with a huge portion of fish and chips. I went for lunch at 12:30, and it was quite busy. The chips were nice and hot, with a generous portion. The cake, a savory type with mushrooms, was also very tasty. The staff were brilliant and friendly. I will definitely return to this place when I’m in Amble!

We shared the cable and a small portion of chips with a side of samphire. The chips were perfectly cut from potatoes and even the small serving size was substantial—simply perfect. The fish was huge, just like a hearty meal for someone with a big appetite. I thought it might be too much, but I couldn't fault the fish at all. The samphire was also delightful. If you're looking for traditional fish and chips done right, without any shortcuts, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

As others have noticed, this place seems to have constantly a waiting queue of the customers, and after our experience I can see why. the eating itself is quite good, beautiful crisp teig (although others have noticed that it can be a little fat) and the chips were delicious. In any case, in portions sizes are great, I tried a big cod and it was as big as two of my hands joined together! the staff seems to do a fantastic work to get people through, especially when several people come to after seven fish and chips please one after the other.
