Le Cafe de Paris

A local cafe, serving fairly standard local fare. We had a perfectly decent meal, with good service and decent house wine. Another night we sat outside and put the world to rights over a night cap. Worth a visit but set your expectation levels right...first. And oh yes, this is where all the locals bring their dogs out to dinner with them!

Going to Amelie-les-Bains, one has to be aware that this is the 3rd thermal station in France and thousand of people go to this town for medical spa (back pain and asthma), in other words, you will cross old or sick people there. Nevertheless, the...Cafe de Paris is the only cafe which deals with people going to this medical spa treatment and the others passing by and keeping humour up! You can eat well and not so well but the atmosphere is high up, sometimes crazy if you understand French but colourful and pleasant in anycase. If you go through Amelie, here is the place to be!

Great food and service! the taste of the duck is something else (you really have to try it). we are coming back to the final! thanks for everything

My wife and I stopped on a last Saturday afternoon at midday. every table was occupied, but the owner offered us something apologetically a place in a flooded dining room. we took it and have a wonderful time. we enjoyed teller of. tasty filled, roasted vegetables and a magnificent regional rose. the owner presented us a second pitcher and dessert as a possibility to thank us for a table from the main kitchen room. three cheers for le cafe de paris.

Simple relaxed place on the rambla. good for a casual meet or just meet with friends. do not expect to eat good. good service.
