Great service and great food!! Will be back again soon.
This restaurant has made it to my top list! The appetizer was clearly homemade and still bubbling in the pan. The bread was warm, and the butter was nice and soft. The staff was fantastic, and my waitress was very attentive. What really impressed me was that the reheated fettuccini leftovers were still moist, juicy, and packed with flavor. Unlike fake sauces that dry out in the pasta, this sauce was still creamy with the taste of real butter. I will definitely be returning!
I visited this restaurant for the first time, and it was a great experience. Our server was very friendly and even mentioned that he sometimes works in the kitchen, so he was there to answer any questions we had. As a nice gesture for being first-time visitors, we were treated to complimentary mozzarella sticks, and they were the best I've ever had! We really enjoyed all our meals, appreciated the service, and even loved taking home our leftovers. I would definitely return!
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at GeAngelo’s tonight. The atmosphere, service, and food were all exceptional. **Atmosphere:** GeAngelo’s is a cozy little restaurant tucked away in Northern Lights in North Ames, making it somewhat of a hidden gem. This location contributes to a relaxed ambiance perfect for enjoying a meal. The music is played at just the right volume—not too loud, allowing you to hear it when you want to. Pro Tip: Request a table in the fireplace room, which is truly the best table in town. **Service:** Our server, Marley, did an outstanding job. She checked on us several times without being intrusive. Marley was very knowledgeable about the menu, and her recommendation of the Suppli was spot on. Kudos to Marley! **Food:** Finally, the food was excellent. We began our meal with a couple of drinks—my wife enjoyed a Long Island iced tea, while I tried a beer from Firetrucker Brewery in Ankeny, one of three local Iowa beers on tap, and it was fantastic. For our appetizer, we had the Suppli, which Marley described as the best of both worlds—risotto and mozzarella sticks. It was delicious, and the flavor was perfectly complemented by the house marinara. Our server also brought out some homemade parmesan sauce, which was another great dipping sauce for the Suppli. The fried appetizer was surprisingly light and left us just hungry enough for our pizza. We decided to order the Natomeli pizza for our main course. The crispy, thin crust had a nice crunch, perfectly supporting the generous amount of toppings. Everything was tasty and fresh. Each bite left us satisfied yet still craving more. We almost finished the entire pizza but opted for dessert instead. The housemade tiramisu was a perfect end to our meal. Its sweet flavor and creamy, pudding-like texture made for a delightful treat. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our visit. We’ve been coming to GeAngelo’s for years, and it seems to be getting better each time. We will definitely be back soon!
