The vegan ramen, sesame noodles, cabbage salad, and green tea ice cream were all very good and the portions are large. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. All and all a great experience and while it is a little off the beaten path it is worth seeking out. The owner came out and introduced herself while inquiring about our meal. We will be back.
The food was amazing! I really enjoyed the egg rolls and the shrimp rangoons. I had the cashew chicken off the new menu and it’s the best I’ve had in Ames so far! The service was great also and the chef even came out to talk with us after we ate.
Visited last night following their ribbon cutting, and had a wonderful meal. The staff was quite helpful and eager to discuss any thoughts or concerns we had. The system has smoothed quite a bit from their soft openings, and my family are already making plans for future visits. The 'Build Your Own ' noodle bowl was a huge hit, especially with two people knowing they had ordered them with different vegetable choices, but couldn 't believe the range of colors and textures making them so beautiful, and so different. We will definitely be returning.
Grandpa Noodle Gallery is excellent. Their food tastes great, and you can tell you are eating a fresh meal. The staff is friendly and helpful, and create a very nice atmosphere. I love going here and would recommend it to everyone. The Jumping Noodle and Gaijiou Mien are fantastic, but I haven't gotten any dish I didn't enjoy.
This has fast become our fave Asian restaurant and one of our 2 or 3 fave restaurants of any type. The spicy bean sauce is superb. One of us has annoying and unusual SERIOUS food allergies and Grandpa Noodles ALWAYS gets it right!
