Panchero's Mexican Grill - Ames

As a first-time customer ordering takeout, I finally decided to give Pancheros a try, and I'm really glad I did. I'm sure people often compare this chain to Chipotle, and while there are some good and not-so-good differences, the flavors at Pancheros are quite distinct. All of our bowls were delicious! I particularly appreciated having jalapeños as an option. There were still plenty of choices for meat and grilled veggies (which are a must-have). However, the size of the bowls was smaller than those at Chipotle; it’s not just a matter of preference—the actual bowl used for serving was smaller. I enjoyed the blue corn chips as well, but the bag was smaller too and most of the chips were broken, although they were still large enough for scooping up salsa.

I ordered for pickup online, and while they had my receipt and the items in the bag were correct, the burrito I received was not mine at all. I can't help but wonder how they managed to overlook 2 out of 3 receipts and still get it wrong.

All the workers were extremely obviously high and rude. The worker by the name of Aaron helping me obviously did not want to be helping me and when I asked for chips and queso he gave me the queso and walked away scoffing and that's when I had to call after him and ask for my chips and he rolled his eyes at me as if he hadn't just paid for it and came back and threw them in by bag.

They charge you extra for everything rip-off sorry not sorry. Maybe have lids that fit the cups??

NEVER order anything line tell literally let you stand there while your order has been ready for 20mins then get rude when you try to ask about it. If I'd just stood in line I would've gotten my food 3x over and probably been able to eat it too. But all I've got is cold food.
